There are no modification on this map (at $1a20, this is still 02 00 00 40). verify you saved the modifications from the Hexa editor...

In the Hexa editor, on your left, you have address of the bytes in the file.
If you look at line '1a20', this is the place to modify (start of the line), but it's still 02 00 00 40 (before modification), so background has NOT been modified.

thx

EDIT: Sorry, but in line 1a20 there is no 02 00 00 40.
Do u use the haxeditor XVI23?
And which size do u use it in? that makes a difference too.
Or just tell me, at which word I have to edit.

If you don't have 02 00 00 40, you don't have post the same map as the map you look in your Hexa editorBleh

I use UltraEdit, but all Hexa editor work the same way

Don't forget to pass the map in Challengeedit to uncompress it before look in the hexa editorItwasntme

well, I'll check on UltraEdit. Mine looks a bit different and sometimes there is no line 1a20 ... weird.
BTW I just checked in my editor after the word Day, there is no 02 00 00 04 ... oO

It sais 00 00 00 04 ( I changed the 02 to 00 because in the tut it's on 00 aswell.)

And after 04 I put the code of the Coast envi

EDIT: omg omg omg omg omg omg omg omg omg omg omg omg omg omg omg omg omg
It worked THANKS Skubi for your time and help. I wanna award you for that ! ^^
